Skilled and Beginners are welcome! The waterways and Gulf of Mexico offer the best kayak or stand up paddleboard experience for both. For the beginner we offer kayak paddling instruction and a brief kayak instruction on safety prior to your launch with no additional charge.
Which trip is best for me?
If you are not familiar with Fort Myers, Bonita Spings, Estero or Alva and want to know what to expect, we encourage you to call us to discuss the waterways, picnic areas at or near the launch site and of course public restroom accessibility.
What is the age requirement to rent?
. Eco Paddlesportz rents kayaks and the stand up paddleboard (SUP) to anyone over the age of 18. . We do not rent the kayak or stand up paddleboard to anyone under the age of 9. . All children between the age of 9 and 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Are other times available?
Eco Paddlesportz is flexible and will work to accommodate your schedule. Our Sunset Kayak Paddle during off Season is restricted to your return before dark, as many of the Launch and Take out sites close at dusk and your safety is important to us.
What are my responsibilities when renting from ECO PADDLESPORTZ?
It is your responsibility for the proper operation of the kayak or paddleboard. Your safety and welfare depend upon your ability to make sound decisions. Respecting other watercraft on waterways and in open gulf waters is key to a successful and enjoyable paddling adventure. Parents of minors must decide prior to reservations the maturity and or physical abilities of the child to ensure a safe and happy adventure.
Can I Cancel my trip?
Cancellations are accepted 24 hours prior to your reserved date with a full refund. Full payment is taken for "no shows". If severe weather makes it unacceptable for launching, you will be notified In advance by Eco Paddlesportz that your trip has been cancelled with a full refund.
Is alcohol permitted?
Alcohol does not combine well with water sports including kayaks and stand up paddle boards. First - alcohol will dehydrate your body and impair your judgment as well as accelerate hypothermia. You need to be alert and sharp - leave the stimulants behind.
What to wear and what to bring?
We suggest that you bring most of the below items: . Plenty of Drinking Water . Sunscreen . Inspect Repellent . Hat and/or sunglasses . Snack, fruit, power bar, or lunch . Water shoes, secure sandals or old sneakers (flip flops offer POOR FOOTING in water) . Camera (waterproof) . Clothes you don't mind getting a little wet; Board shorts, dry fit material etc. .
